Global EXEC Women Presents International Women of Influence Awards

Global EXEC Women is an organization comprised of women in executive positions in the business and technology sectors and provides networking, learning and knowledge-sharing opportunties to its members. Recently, Global EXEC Women recognized seven female executives for their exceptional global leadership and innovation at the organization’s International Women of Influence Awards.

The winners announced at the awards ceremony in Beijing (sponsored by Delta Airlines, Heidelberg, Maheim and UPS) are:

• Luminary Award recognizing outstanding international contribution by a female executive: Lani Wong chair of National Association of Chinese-Americans
• Leadership in Established Company - Large Business category: Nancy Parmer, Vice President of UPS Supply Chain Solutions and Nina Huang, Vice President of Microsoft-China
• Leadership in Medium Business category: Sophia Wang, Vice President of Beyondsoft-China, Virginia L. P’an, Chairman and CEO of China Pacific Partners LLC-U.S.
• Entrepreneurial Management Skills in Emerging Business Category: Guoqin Zhang, President of Wonderful Foods Co., Ltd.-China and Connie Li, Co-founder, President and CEO of TrafficCast International, Inc.-U.S.
• Special Academic Award: Jian Gao, Vice Director of the National Development and Reform Commission

The judges included Vicki Hamilton, Senior Vice President, Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. and Cindy Nelson, Director, The Home Depot and chair of the Velvet Hammers, Home Depot’s Women’s Internal Women’s Initiative.

Global EXEC Women will hold the next International Women of Influence Awards in Atlanta, Georgie during the first half of 2008.
