It took me years to start my journey of becoming an entrepreneur! There were a series of things that occurred that I didn’t pay attention to until after I began to really take the idea of becoming an entrepreneur seriously. The reason for that was the same reason why so many others have not started their journeys as well. I wasn’t listening.
I was too busy complaining, feeling and being stuck, and feeling sorry for myself that I couldn’t see the signs that were pushing me in another direction and giving me the way out that I so desperately desired. If these signs come up in your life, you might want to become an entrepreneur.
1. If You Are Wondering if There is More to Life
When you start to feel unhappy, even if you thought that you finally found your dream job, it might be time to become an entrepreneur. Your dream job may be what you thought you wanted for yourself and your family or even what you thought you needed and had the ability to do. That doesn’t mean that you are in the right place.
When you are doing what you love and are supposed to be doing, even in the struggles and uncomfortable times, you have this feeling of peace and satisfaction with where you are. If you are not feeling peace and are in constant wonder of if what you are doing is right, it is time to reevaluate things and consider taking a different route that may lead you to becoming an entrepreneur.
2. If You Desire to Build a Legacy to Pass Down
Let me be the first to say that there is nothing wrong with working for someone else. Everyone has responsibilities, whether it be by the means of being an employee or an entrepreneur; it is important and vital to continue to move the world forward. It is just a fact that building a legacy is very hard to do when you are working for someone else.
As a matter of fact, there are not that many people in history that have done it. They may have started out working for someone else, but then, they either started their own companies or took over the companies that they were working at.
3. If You Enjoy the Chase
The entrepreneurial journey is full of struggles, constant growth, and most importantly — the chase. The chase is important because the chase is going to keep you growing by getting you out of your comfort zone, facing your fears, and embracing the mistakes that you make and learn from along the way.
If you love a good never-ending chase that will force you to become the best you that you could ever possibly be, becoming an entrepreneur may just be what you are looking for.
4. The Desire to Learn that Never Ceases
Learning is a major component of being an entrepreneur. If you love to learn and you can’t seem to quench the thirst of learning, your subconscious may be telling you something. That burning desire to just know things is not weird, or crazy, or even unrealistic. It is something that will feed, fuel, and help you reach your wildest dreams.
5. If You Just Can’t Let It Go
If you have an idea, a desire, a passion, or a mission and no matter what obstacles you go through, how long it has been since the very first time you thought of it, how afraid you are of it, or even how much you think it will cost you; it probably is exactly what you need to be doing.
The burning desire that you had for how ever long has not left you and will keep coming back until you go all in. It is waiting for you to achieve it, and it is willing to constantly put you in situations so that you can remember it and never forget it. It doesn’t matter if you answer the calling on the same day or wait 20 years later, it will still call your name waiting for you to answer.
Life will always give you clues to what you are supposed to be doing and when you are supposed to do it. It is truly up to you to answer and fulfill what life is telling you by listening to the clues that it is giving you and taking action.
