Today, women are in every profession, including those that were limited to men in the past. Even better—women are excelling in every field. They run large corporation, fly planes and enlist in the army. The change took a long time to happen, but it has happened.
Women are born with managerial skills and the way they manage their homes, families and business is amazing. Today there are many women who have make a mark in the business sector based on their attitude and skills. A good business person—male or female—is one who is efficient and knows how to keep clients and employees happy.
If you’re a business woman, then you must understand the ways you need to establish your position in the new company that are separate from your knowledge and skills. Despite the fact that men and women compete for the same jobs today, the perception of business women is still disproportionately focused on things other than knowledge, skills, and experience.
Some areas that greatly affect how a business woman is perceived in the workplace are discussed below. Men aren’t held to the same standards. Invest time and energy into developing the employee persona that best reflects the role you want to get in the future.
1. Speaking Style
A female business entrepreneur should be polite and at the same time confident and to the point. Don’t stammer or fumble while discussing business with employees or clients, because stammering and fumbling gives a negative perception which can cause others to have less confidence in you. You should know what your business, coworker, or employee is demanding from you, and maintain an authoritative tone while you’re speaking.
2. Body Language
Your body language should be authoritative and match your words. If you’re in a managerial position you must see to it that your subordinates look up to you as their boss. Maintain eye contact, which is one way to make them feel that you are confident. Do not let your facial expressions do the talking. When you meet new people greet them with a firm handshake.
3. Dress
The right clothing can reinforce the image you’re trying to portray in business. Fashion experts believe that your dressing style reflects your personality, and unfortunately, people judge you by the kind of clothes you wear. So if you work in an office stick to business wear or business casual attire depending on the dress code of your company. Keep your office attire minimal and dress for the role you want to get in the future, not the role you have now.
It’s easy for men. They could wear the same pair of black pants and black shoes every day, and no one would notice. For women, it’s not as easy or as cost-effective to build an appropriate business wardrobe. Fortunately, there are many specialty stores and department stores that offer wide varieties of business clothing without breaking the bank. You can shop online or offline and use coupons and digital discount codes to save money so you can replace or replenish your business wardrobe. For example, Nordstrom coupons allow you to shop from a high-end store at an affordable price.

Thank you so much for the advise and inspiration for young upcoming business woman. I would like to know what advise would you give to students entering the business and starting their own firms, because you as entrepreneur then set the standard. Does this tips also apply for students? Would they rather be influenced by an easy going and relaxing vibe or strict and to the point attitude?
