Why would people subscribe to your newsletter? Here are three tips to get more subscribers:
1. Build An Effective Squeeze Page
The key to building your list could be in the squeeze page that you use.
Your squeeze page is the most important thing to have. It’s what’s going to make people take notice (when you have quality content). It can’t be boring or lack luster or people won’t sign up.
You need to mention in your squeeze page what they are signing up for and how it’s going to benefit them. When you are clear on what they will be getting, more people will be willing to sign up. Why? Because your message speaks to them.
2. Take A Look At Top Marketers
If building a squeeze page is new to you, take a look at some of the top marketers to see what they are doing. Your goal in looking is not to copy them but to get ideas on how you can create your own squeeze page and do so in a compelling way.
Your squeeze page has to be eye catching in order to attract subscribers!
3. Rank The Squeeze Page High
Ranking your squeeze page will enable you to get more visitors to your page. For that reason, you want to make sure the page is search engine optimized.
It’s been said that the squeeze page should be without distraction. One way you do this is by not having a navigation bar that could potentially take people away from the page. That being said, I’ve talked to a number of clients who felt like people weren’t being transparent enough by letting them find a contact page or other pages to see what the person was really like before they gave their name and email.
These are valid points so why not try an A/B test? Create a squeeze page and put it on your website where the navigation does show. Take the same squeeze page and don’t allow the navigation bar to be seen. Use an analytics tool to see which one works best for you.
These three tips are only the tip of the iceberg but they are extremely powerful. Try these tips out and see if you increase your email signups.
