Logan, UT January 31, 2011: The Cache Chamber of Commerce selected Adrienne Akers for the 2011 Woman in Business Award for her leadership in building her company, Dynamic Screening Solutions, Inc. The award was presented to Akers as part of the Chamber’s annual awards banquet held at Castle Manor in North Logan, UT on January 27, 2011.
Akers’ company recently launched a web-based human resource system called 321Forms (www.321Forms.com). This HR system allows employees to electronically complete and submit all of their employer’s paperwork online and enables HR staff to manage all employee paperwork without paper—no printing, scanning, filing, shredding or storage necessary, saving precious time and money. Akers commented, “We don’t try to solve the world’s problems. We just want to take the headaches out of repetitious paperwork.”
In 2007, Adrienne Akers left a secure 25+ year career as a senior researcher at Utah State University’s Center for Persons with Disabilities to start her company – Dynamic Screening Solutions, Inc. (www.go-dss.com). A USU spin off, Akers’ company builds web-based systems to simplify the completion of redundant paperwork in a variety of industries.
While at USU, Akers spearheaded the development and testing of the Utah Clicks system (www.utahclicks.org) which allows Utah families to electronically complete and submit repetitious paperwork for multiple state programs. Utah Clicks has a consistent customer satisfaction rating of 98%. Akers achieved a 2006 Innovation Award from the Council of State Governments for the core Utah Clicks technology.
As President & CEO of Dynamic Screening Solutions, Inc., Akers provides senior direction and management of the company with a focus on marketing, sales and strategic development. She also serves as the co-chair of the Cache Entrepreneurial Council and is involved in a number of other civic and philanthropic organizations.
