Last week, I shared an infographic that looked Inside the Mind of a Startup Entrepreneur, and today, I have a new infographic on a similar subject. The Are You an Entrepreneur? infographic shown below visually guides you through a series of personality traits, behaviors, and preferences to determine if you were born to be a leader or not.
The infographic splits people into four broad categories: natural entrepreneurs, budding entrepreneurs, mid-level leaders, and people who are best on a team. Of course, this is a simple view into human psychology and behavior, and I’d question its accuracy (e.g., this infographic tells me that my messy desk dooms me to work best on a team yet I have a very successful business).
A well-designed and researched infographic that tells a compelling story based on data can be a great thing, but the infographic craze has us sifting through a lot of clutter to find the accurate, useful, and credible information. The lesson to learn is this — don’t trust data because you see it in an infographic.
What do you think? Does the infographic below accurately identify the entrepreneurial bucket you belong in? Leave a comment below and share your thoughts.

Susan, the graphic is easy to follow. And every person depicted is male — nice orange tie on each. So we’ll continue to think of the entrepreneur stereotype as male. Am curious what was behind the decision to include only illustrations of males.

Roberta, You’re absolutely right. I didn’t even notice that!
