According to the data in a new infographic from SingleHop, contact forms with three fields drive the highest conversions. In fact, conversions decrease as the number of fields increases.
However, if you value the quality of the leads you get over the quantity, then you should know that as the number of fields increases in contact forms, the quality of leads increases, too.
The success of your contact forms is also tied to the messages you include in those forms and on related pages. For example, click through rates are highest for forms that tell visitors to Click Here followed by Go, Submit, Download, and Register, in that order.
And don’t forget the thank you page that appears after visitors submit your contact form. The data in the infographic tells us that 39% of users accept offers on a thank you page.
