How much did your bachelor’s degree cost?
If you’re thinking of getting an undergraduate degree or you’re saving up for your child’s degree, costs are likely to be a consideration—particularly if you live in the United States where the average cost of a bachelor’s degree is far higher than other countries around the world.
According to an article on SampleJobDescriptions.org, “The cost of higher education in the United States at present is 12 times the amount it was some 30 years ago, which cannot be compared to the rate of growth of medical expenses and food ranging at 7 times and 3.5 times during the same period.”
Take a look at the infographic below to see the cost of a bachelor’s degree in a number of countries as well as the most expensive private colleges in the United States, the most expensive majors of study, and the most expensive degrees with the least paying jobs. It’s an interesting visualization of the high cost of higher education in the United States compared to the rest of the world.
