COUNTDOWN DAY 1:
Tomorrow is Equal Pay Day 2013, which means we’ve reached Day 1 in our Countdown to Equal Pay Day 2013 series.
So far in the countdown, you’ve seen how the gender pay gap has changed in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s-2000s, and the 2010s. Now, it’s time to put the data together.
As you can see in the image below, the gender pay gap has been narrowing over the past 43 years, but there is still work to be done to ensure people are paid equal pay for equal work regardless of their genders.
Subscribe to Women on Business or follow us on Twitter, so you don’t miss the final day in the Countdown to Equal Pay Day. Please share these statistics with your own audiences, so more people become aware of how much work must still be done to achieve equal pay for equal work.
