How are you caring for yourself?
Self-care is one of the most significant things for us entrepreneurs to learn as we grow our businesses. And it’s been one of the things that can keep us in alignment, which keeps us being successful and happy at the same time instead of pushing things away, forcing things, and feeling stressed out, anxious, and overwhelmed, especially as an entrepreneur.
Today, I will tell you how to care for yourself so you can go out there and inspire people to work with you, listen to you, come to you, and follow you, without burning yourself out! This is very easy to implement, yet very effective to keep you in the receiving mode in your business.
As an entrepreneur, I’m sure you’ve experienced times where you felt really stressed out. Maybe you have felt anxious. Perhaps you have felt overwhelmed. There are many different signs, physical or emotional, that can tell us if we’re stressed. We need to be aware of these and take care of ourselves and our business, or ourselves will suffer!
To care for yourself as an entrepreneur, I want you to think about three things: your mind, your body, and your soul with these following tips.
Gratitude
The first thing I want you to do is think about gratitude. When you’re starting a day off with gratitude, you’re going to feel better instantly, and that’s actually a trait of a “Giver.” So, if you’re out there to give things to people, to serve people, and love people, gratitude is your number one go-to emotion.
Start your day with a gratitude journal and really think of things you can feel grateful for every single day!
Take five to 10 minutes to think about what you’re very grateful for, and see how amazingly beautiful and powerful you’ll feel.
This will help you start off your day in a completely different way, especially as an entrepreneur!
Meditation
The first thing you should do every single morning after your journaling practice is meditation.
Now, whether you believe in meditation or you don’t, really doesn’t matter. Meditation is a way for you to relax and calm your mind, especially when you’re in a state of fear and anxiety. When you’re very anxious, it’s tough to stop your thoughts from coming back.
The best thing you can do throughout your day is to take 10 to 15 minutes to meditate and calm your mind and calm your body as well, and all it takes is silence.
Read
One thing I think everybody out there should do, especially entrepreneurs and people who are looking to grow themselves and attract more goodness and happiness into their lives, is read.
Fill your mind with things that will serve you. Read books! Find something to read about personal development, or read a passage from your favorite book. Pick up a business book. It doesn’t matter what book it is.
Feed your mind with new thoughts and new ideas that will help you get ahead and help you do things you always wanted to do!
Get More Sun
Believe it or not, the sun is essential for you and your body, and getting more sun energizes you! Because of Vitamin D in the sun, it’s imperative to get sunlight every single morning. Doing so also has the effect for some people of making them feel like their one with the planet, one with this Earth, and they feel so incredible soaking up the goodness of the sun!
Connect with Your Soul
Sometimes, as an entrepreneur, we’re so time-starved, and we tend to spend more time in our businesses, with our clients, and with our teams that we may neglect our family and our friends and maybe even our pets.
To refuel and fill your soul with happiness and connection that you’re really desiring, seeking and craving, it’s essential to go back to your family, your friends, and the people that mean the most to you and spend more time with them! This is important, and you need to do it for long-term growth to feel great in your business, which you deserve every single day!
I sincerely hope these tips help you. I can’t wait to see how this improves your life. Until then, take care, have fun, and create more happiness in your life!
