The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants has recently announced the new chair of it’s Women’s Initiative Executive Committee. Mary L Bennett of MLBennett Consulting has been appointed by the institute to this three year chairwoman position. Mary has twenty five years experience in the accounting industry, the last ten as a partner in a top ten accounting and consulting firm. Mary is well known as a leader in the advancement of women in the accounting profession and has won many awards over the years for her efforts. The AICPA Women’s Initiative Executive Committee exists to support increased influence of women in the accounting profession through education, advocacy and advancement.
