Focus on your strengths, hand over the rest.
We all fall into the trap of thinking we can do it all, or taking on too much. This goes right along with getting help when you need it, but expands upon that thought even more…. make sure you are passing over the right tasks.
What are you good at? Maybe you are great at sales, but then dealing with the nitty gritty, invoicing, payment collections…you hate, or just aren’t that great at it. Hire someone that is awesome at those tasks and let them handle it.
Surround yourself with a team of people who strengthen your weaknesses. Make a list of everything in your business that you wish you were better at, or have been neglecting because you just hate doing it. Then find contractors or assistants, etc that specialize in those things.
A Jill of all trades is another great team member to find. They can help you manage all of these team members and usually, the right person can jump in and help when needed (vacations, illness) etc. This person becomes your much needed right hand woman.
Having people that specialize in those things that you aren’t as strong in will make your business stronger and allow you to give everyone the best possible service.
You are creating a team of experts. This allows you to work only on your strengths and allows your company/business grow faster then it would otherwise. You are able to be more efficient provide better service and as a result have happy customers and more referrals.
Make your dream team so you can make your dream company.
