Sometimes you have to see things visually to really understand them and the gender gap in leadership at Google and Facebook is one of them. Hierarchy Structure researched the leadership teams of both companies to create the infographic shown below.
In the Hierarchy of Facebook vs. Google infographic, you can see that Google has about twice as many women in top-level leadership positions than Facebook. As for the Board of Directors at each company, Google has three women on its board (30%) while Facebook has none (0%).
It’s clear from the infographic that, while Sheryl Sandberg garners a great deal of well-deserved attention and significant amount of positive diversity press for Facebook, Google is far ahead of Facebook in terms of actually narrowing the gender gap in corporate leadership.
