On November, 16 2010, Sharon Allen, Chairman of the Board of Deloitte LLP will give a
keynote speech to students at Wharton Women’s Annual Dinner. As one of the club’s most highly anticipated events, the Annual Dinner provides a forum for students to meet, interact and network with corporate representatives from a variety of areas of business.
Ms. Allen will speak during the dinner and share insights from her 36 years of audit and
consulting experience. She has not only been featured in Fortune magazine numerous times, but also was listed four times as one of Forbes’ “World’s 100 Most Powerful Women.” In addition, Ms. Allen has received multiple awards such as the “Making a Difference for Women” award on behalf of the National Council for Research on Women, the “Woman of the Year” title by the Financial Women’s Associations, the “Work Life Legacy award” from the Families and Work Institute, and the “Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Business Leader” award.
Businesses and sponsors attending the event include Deutsche Bank, Swiss Re, Capital One, Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, Macy’s, Lazard, Accenture, and others. The event will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Inn at Penn. A career fair will take place at 5:00 p.m. prior to the dinner, which will be served at 6:00 p.m. The keynote speech will be given at 6:30 p.m. Members of the media are welcome to attend, but pre-registration is recommended.
