For the second year in a row, WomenOnBusiness.com has been named to the list of the top 100 websites for women in 2011 by Forbes.
Meghan Casserly and Jenna Goudreau of Forbes.com spent a year researching and developing the 2011 list of the top websites for women and offer the following insights into the criteria that went into selecting the 100 sites that made the list this year:
“Informative and compelling content and user interface, engaged communities and, of course, a female focus that’s kept fresh by dedicated editors, writers and designers. Intelligence is a plus; fun adds bonus points. Here’s the real challenge: Does it have that amorphous and often indefinable quality that inspires us to share–with our social networks and in e-mails and conversations with our moms, sisters, friends and colleagues.”
I particularly love the list this year because the big names everyone knows about have been removed leaving space for smaller sites with amazing content and communities to make the 2011 list.
Take some time to review the list (it’s in alphabetical order and spans 6 pages on Forbes.com). I’m sure you’ll find some great new blogs to make part of your daily reading!
